Hey girls! This is the information set for Extra-Curricular Activities Round One. Remember that all Extra-Curricular contests are optional, but you will get extra points for entering. You will not be graded, so as long as you follow the instructions, you will get points. Since it's your first week at Polyvore Academy, you'll need to choose which extra-curricular activities you'll join! Make a set based on that extra-curricular activity. For example, if you'd like to join cheerleading, make a set with a cheerleading uniform. If you want to join the Icon Makers Club, make an icon. Here is a list of clubs you can join:

Round 1: First Day of Polyvore Academy

This is your first assignment: Create an outfit for your first day at Polyvore Academy. You'll need to make sure you leave a good impression on the other girls and show people how fashionable you are! In your set, you'll need to include either a top that is your dormitory's color and any bottoms, or a dress that is your dormitory's color. It can be a magazine style set, a preppy set, or anything else you want it to be. You will also need to include:
 
- Your dormitory's symbol.
- A scarf or necklace.
- Shoes.

Additionally, you will need to fill out the description. This should be a minimum of 200 words. In later rounds, I'll probably have you explain your fashion choices. You may do that for this round as well. However, for this round, you will most likely earn more points if you do the following:
 
- Write a story about your first day! Be creative. :) Include what you'll do, what you'll eat, and how you'll meet your other dorm members (your REAL dorm members, if you want).
 
- Another thing you could do is get all (or most of) your dorm members to participate in this: Create a roleplay, but as yourselves! It can be when you first meet, or anything you want! You WILL get 5 extra points if you choose this option!
 
There will be two weeks for you to complete this assignment. There will be five winners and a limit of one set. Try to get your other dorm members to enter as well!

Dormitory A: These girls are leaders, not followers. They don't follow trends, they start them. They have a strong A-type personality and can't resist a challenge. They're very social, outgoing, and fun to be around. They're never afraid to be themselves. They generally dress bold and girly. Their color is blue, but they also love bold pink. They love hair bows and jewelry.

Dormitory B: These girls are very classy and chic. They're the nicest, most mature girls on campus. They're very intelligent and focused on their schoolwork. They are sincere and have a very sophisticated and modest style. They love designer brands such as Chanel and Dior. Their favorite color is pink, especially lighter shades, and they love dressing preppy. They love to wear blazers and heels. They also love to wear gold, black, cream, and red. They always carry around a handbag.

Dormitory C: These girls are always very creative. They love making their own outfits. They're not a fan of overrated brands, but they can often be seen shopping at small boutiques. They always make sure that their clothes are unique and that no one else has them. They generally love flowy dresses, flats, and love playing around with patterns.

Dormitory D: These girls are wild, spontaneous, and throw the best parties on campus! They don't care about what anyone else thinks about their fashion choices. They love animal prints and are extremely bold and daring. Their color is green, but they love all colors and their outfits are generally very colorful.

There are four dormitories. When you apply, you'll need to decide on which one you want to be in. Information about the four dormitories is here: http://www.polyvore.com/which_dormitory_do_you_belong/set?id=67715826
Depending on how many people apply, I will put a certain number of people in each dormitory.
 
There will be 11 rounds. You will have two weeks for each round. If you don't enter two rounds in a row you will be eliminated and replaced. You will be graded on your set each round ( /20 for set, and /20 for set description). You cannot enter hacked sets or sets made with templates (unless it is a template that you created). You will get additional points for being 1st (5 points) 2nd (4 points), 3rd (3 points), 4th (2 points), and 5th (1 point), so you can get up to 45/40. I will make report cards with your grades on them after each round. After 2 rounds, I will also find your average grade and find it again after the 3rd and so on, and after the first round ends, I will find your dormitory's average grade and again after the 2nd and so on, so that you know who's in the lead.
 
You can also get extra points for yourself and your dormitory by doing extra-curricular activities. I will make another group for this. There will be 10 contests over the competition, with 2 weeks for each one. I'll give you several options for each one, such as:
 
I will give you a character (that I'll make up) and you will need to make an outfit for them.
I'll give you a theme and you'll need to make an icon.
I'll give you a movie and you'll need to make a set based on that movie.
and so on...

You can make one set per contest. If you enter at least 10/10 of the contests, you will get 10% added to your average grade at the end of the competition, increasing your chances of winning. If you enter 9, you will get 9%, and so on. You won't be graded on your extra-curricular sets.
